World TaeKwonDo Academy, is the premiere Taekwondo training school in Carmel Valley, San Diego. We are located in the Torrey Hills Shopping Center, and is a favorite for Carmel Valley, Del Mar and San Diego residents. Children of all ages and adults love being able to practice the ancient form of martial arts through practicing high kicks, learning some of the customs, and all while having fun.

Master TJ Kim has been practicing Taekwondo for over 40 years. Master Kim was born, raised and trained in Korea and participated in the 1988 Seoul Olympic games. He then came to the United States in 1990 and has been living in San Diego for over 20 years, sharing his wisdom and success with thousands of students.

Master Kim makes discipline fun and encourages great values. His classes build confidence, produce leaders, and even teach some Korean. Best of all, he teaches focus and commitment, which help students and adults excel in life.

Master Jeff Lee moved to United States from Korea. He is a professional taekwondo master and passionate golfer – and also an avid student of business and economics. His long-time career in taekwondo led him to achieve the Taekwondo Master certificate in 2014.

He is currently studying economics at the University of California, San Diego. Through research and interdisciplinary study, he would like to work to change the culture of “unsustainability” in sports industry.
